Position Description
NICU Nurse Practitioner in Iowa - Weekend Day Shifts Only
Level 3 NICU coverage in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; low-volume setting, weekend shifts only, and full travel included.
Highlights
- Day shifts only; no nights or call
- Friday to Sunday blocks, 7a to 7p
- $110 hourly max
- Full travel, lodging, and rental car provided
Practice Setting
- Level 3 NICU, 700 deliveries per year
- Most NICU cases sent to nearby university hospital
- Baby remains in-room with mother during NICU care
- Epic EMR
Schedule
- Weekend-only coverage
- Flexible blocks, no long-term commitment
- MD backup call support at night
Cases and Procedures
- Newborns only
- No procedures required
- 2 to 3 new admissions per shift, 12 to 16 patients total
Requirements
- Board Certified NP (PNP-AC preferred)
- Prior NICU experience required
- Active Iowa license or IMLC LOQ
- BLS, DEA, and PALS required
